Place on Hold at Thornton Public Library

Synopsis

Losing a tooth isn't easy--especially when you're a dragon

Sophia has been in a wheelchair her whole life. As such, many people say she cannot do certain things like swim, ride a bike, or do a cartwheel. Then, one day, Sophia wakes up with a case of the can-dos! She believes in herself one hundred percent, she just needs to prove it to other people. She tries to join a ballet class, but she's told she cannot. Sophia sets out to prove that in her wheelchair, she can be a dancer! This story promotes self-confidence, self-efficacy, and determination, and readers will find a hero in Sophia.
